Local Area
Perchwood is located in the lovely hamlet of Tuckenhay on the River Dart, between Dartmouth and Totnes. Tuckenhay was once an extremely industrious village not only with it's farming and fishing but with its quay, cider press and paper mill. Lime production was another local activity widely carried out in this area, we at Perchwood have a pair of restored lime kilns. We are surrounded by magnificent walks and within easy reach of many coves and beaches as well as the rolling hills of Dartmoor.
There is plenty to do in and around Tuckenhay - walking, bird watching, boating, or of course you can just relax and do absolutely nothing!
